Baan Tai is a beautiful sleepy little fishing village conviently located between the island's two biggest towns of Thong Sala and Haad Rin. Situated just a 15 minute drive away is Koh Phangan's busiest and most popular beach Haad Rin, the location for the world famous "Full Moon Party" which regularly attracts over 10, 000 tourists each and every month.

The island is located in the gulf of Thailand just 20 kilometers north of Koh Samui. The name Phangan comes from the Thai word "Ngan" (sandbar) which surrounds the island and protects the white sand beaches and beautiful coral reef that lies just off shore.
